It was a very special Friday in the Swedish royal family: King Carl XVI. Gustaf of Sweden (77) not only celebrated his 50th anniversary on the throne. On September 15th, Prince Daniel, the husband of Crown Princess Victoria (46), also turned 50. After a balcony greeting with the whole family, the royals ended the evening with a festive banquet, where Queen Silvia (79) and her two daughters Victoria and Madeleine (41) particularly stood out with their robes.
Sweden’s queen radiated in a yellow, floor-length satin dress. The long-sleeved top was decorated with shimmering diamonds all over. Silvia also wore a brooch and a light blue sash. A large, silver crown on her brunette hair also amazed people. Matching drop-shaped hanging earrings exuded even more glamor.
Crown Princess Victoria wore a stunning off-the-shoulder tulle dress for the banquet. The gown made of delicate tulle stood out above all due to its intense color gradient from light to dark blue. Victoria also wore a brooch, sash and a shimmering tiara. Together with mother Silvia, their looks resulted in the colors of the Swedish flag.
Many other guests, such as Princess Mary of Denmark (51) and Princess Sofia of Sweden (38), also came in the colors blue and yellow. The royals from Norway were also present at the Royal Palace in Stockholm on Friday evening to celebrate Carl Gustaf’s long reign.
Princess Madeleine wore a silver glamor gown made of tulle and a sequined cape top. Even her clutch was metallic silver. Tiara and earrings complemented the glamorous look.
