Actress Sila Sahin-Radlinger (37) is experiencing first-hand the still terrible consequences of the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria. Part of her family is directly affected by the accident, as she has now revealed to the “Bild” newspaper. More specifically, a cousin of the longtime “Gute Zeiten, bad Zeiten” star is in great danger: “She is in the hospital with serious injuries. We are very concerned about her because it is not clear if she will ever be able to walk again. “

The woman sustained the life-threatening injuries when she went back to the family home after the first tremor “to get important things out”. An aftershock then collapsed the walls above her. Since such aftershocks could continue to occur, Sahin-Radlinger’s family “forbade her to fly down. That’s why I thought about how I could help from here.” Since then she has been collecting donations in various ways for the countless victims of the catastrophe. For example, through a charity dinner that will take place in Berlin on March 12th.

It is also important to her “that the attention does not wane”. That’s why she wants to remind people in this country that the suffering is still very great in the affected regions: “People there can’t just zap away these terrible pictures like we can in front of the television. They will need our help for a long time to come,” she said Sahin-Radlinger.

More than 50,000 people have lost their lives since the earthquake around a month ago, and more than twice as many have been injured. “As a mother of two, it tears my heart apart,” says the actress, who has been married to soccer player Samuel Sahin-Radlinger (30) since 2016 and has two sons with him.
