After around two years, Shawn Mendes (25) is finally ready for further career highlights. To the great dismay of his fans, the Canadian singer had to cancel his entire world tour in July 2022 due to acute mental health problems and took a break for himself. As he explained in an Instagram post at the time, after the break caused by the corona pandemic, it was not initially clear to him how difficult it would be for him to expose himself to a huge audience at concerts again.

Almost two years later, Mendes reported back to his fans on Instagram on March 7 with good news. He wrote: “It’s been a really long time since I last played live and I’m so excited to be headlining Rock In Rio on September 22nd. I’ve missed being on stage so much to stand and see you all in person!” But that’s not all: “I’ve also been working on a new album and I can’t wait to play these new songs live for you.”

Shawn Mendes is not only known for hits like “Treat You Better” or “Stitches”, but also for his former relationship with the singer and actress Camila Cabello (27). The two were considered the absolute dream couple of the pop world between 2019 and 2021 until their separation. In April 2023 there was a temporary love comeback between the two, but it was only short-lived.
