After a week-long illness, pop singer Matthias Reim wants to return to the stage. The first big appearance after his “health-related forced break” will be Reim (64, “Damn, I love you”) at the event series “The Schlager Night of the Year” on October 29 in Oberhausen, the concert organizer Semmel-Concerts announced on Facebook .
By the end of the year, Reim will gradually return to the live stage until his tour continues in December. Some concert dates that were planned for December would have to be moved to spring 2023, for example in Mannheim.
Reim had stopped performing for almost two months, he justified it with a “severe burnout problem” and an inflammation of the vocal cords. “This year I will be playing even fewer shows in a row than I used to in order to have enough rest and recovery times between shows,” said Reim himself on Facebook. “But that’s precisely why my fans can be sure that my band and I will soon be going full throttle again. We’re really looking forward to it.” Reim lives in the Lake Constance region in Baden-Württemberg.
