Scarlett Johansson (38) has been married to her partner Colin Jost (40) for three years in October. Although the actress does not want to give any general relationship tips, she now tells in a TV interview what she thinks is important in her own marriage.

When asked about her “secret to a good, successful, healthy marriage,” Johansson said on CBS Mornings that she didn’t want to claim to know anything about it. But she laughs a lot with her husband. The two often ask each other how the other is doing and they communicate a lot.

“I’m married to a writer, he’s a comedy writer,” says Johansson. “He can get very lost in his thoughts at times.” Jost is introverted, while she is obviously extroverted. That’s why the actress thinks “the key for us […] is to just always ask at the end of the day, ‘How was your day?'”.

Jost and Johansson got married in October 2020, their son Cosmo (1) was born in summer 2021. A source told People magazine at the time that they both have “a great sense of humor that will help with the extra responsibilities and stress of having a newborn.”

It is the third marriage for the Hollywood star. Scarlett Johansson and her colleague Ryan Reynolds (46) tied the knot in 2008, but divorced in 2011. She was young at the time and “didn’t really understand marriage. Maybe I think I romanticized it in a way Johansson told Vanity Fair in 2019. After the split, she married journalist Romain Dauriac in 2014. The couple, who have an eight-year-old daughter together, divorced in 2017.
