Patchwork families can work, as Alessandra “Sandy” Meyer-Wölden (40) and the Pochers show. Oliver Pocher’s (45) ex-wife now says in an interview that Amira (30), the comedian’s new wife, has “actually become a good friend” for her “after all these years”.

In addition, the two women connect “that our children have the same father and are half-siblings,” says Meyer-Wölden of the “Bild” newspaper. Both have “a great need to keep our families together, so we pull together.”

Sandy Meyer-Wölden and Oliver Pocher said yes in 2010, but separated in 2013. They have three children together, a daughter and twin sons. In 2017 she gave birth to twins again. Meanwhile, Oliver and Amira Pocher have been married since 2019 and they also have two children together.

“A lot of time, a lot of patience, a lot of communication and, above all, taking back oneself and one’s own ego and putting the children first”, according to Meyer-Wölden, is the trio’s recipe for patchwork happiness. “For a while I preferred to communicate with Amira, but now I have such a good relationship with Olli that it really just depends on who has time or who answers the phone first.”

The three recently visited Paris as part of Meyer-Wölden’s 40th birthday. “It’s patchwork at its best. Super proud of us,” she wrote on Instagram for a picture of herself and Amira Pocher in front of the Arc de Triomphe. They also published corresponding photos and added the hashtag

Meyer-Wölden showed himself with both Pochers on further recordings. “Two angels for Oliver Pocher and the children are the biggest winners,” she wrote. Amira commented approvingly: “That’s how it looks.”
