Strong performance by Sandra Hülser (46) at the German Film Prize on Friday evening – on several levels. The actress, who cemented her icon status with her Oscar nomination for best actress this year, enchanted on the red carpet in a relatively simple black dress – with a twist.
The shoulder section of the tight, floor-length dress fell asymmetrically over the left shoulder, revealing a leather bustier. The entire look was focused on this eye-catcher. Hülser had combed her hair back in the trendy wet look, no jewelry and hardly any make-up distracted from her almost bare shoulder.
This year, Hülser presented the award for best actress on stage with a touching speech – or rather three. She dedicated very personal tributes to all of the nominated actresses – Hannah Herzsprung (42), Bayan Layla (28) and Corinna Harfouch (69) – for their acting skills in the respective films, which visibly touched those chosen. Harfouch finally received the award for her role in the family drama “Die”, the big winner of the evening.
