Sandra Bullock (59) mourns the loss of her partner Bryan Randall, who died on August 5 at the age of 57 from ALS. Her sister Gesine Bullock-Prado (53) praised the actress for caring for her long-term partner shortly after the sad news became known.
Bullock’s younger sister commemorated Bryan Randall with a post on her Instagram page. She published a photo showing the photographer laughing. She wrote: “ALS is a cruel disease but there is some comfort in knowing that with my wonderful sister and the group of nurses she put together and who helped her care for him in her home, he is the had the best supervisor.” She also added, “I am convinced that Bry has found the best fishing spot in the sky and is already casting his bait in rushing rivers full of salmon.” She ended her post with the words “rest in peace Bryan” and asked that instead of flowers, donations be made to the ALS Association and Massachusetts General Hospital.
Sandra Bullock and Bryan Randall are said to have met in 2015 when he was photographing their son Louis, 13, at his birthday party. After that, they occasionally showed up at events, they were last seen together in 2020. The couple tried to keep their relationship out of the public eye, but she once described him as the “love of her life” in a rare interview.
On Monday, his family announced the death of the photographer to People magazine in a statement. Until then, it was not known that he was ill. “It is with great sadness that we announce that Bryan Randall passed away peacefully on August 5 after a three-year battle with ALS,” the statement read. “Bryan chose early on to keep his journey with ALS private, and those of us who cared for him did our best to accommodate his request.” The family asked for privacy to mourn and say goodbye to Bryan.
