Aryna Sabalenka (24) won the women’s final of the Australian Open for the first time on Saturday (January 28). Some well-known personalities did not miss the match against Elena Rybakina (23) and took a seat in the stands in Melbourne. Probably the best-known celebrity guest was the New Zealand-Australian actor Russell Crowe (58), who came with his partner Britney Theriot.

A short clip from “Eurosport.de” shows the film star, dressed in a casual look with a black polo shirt and dark jeans, cheering for the players. Theriot wore a colorful floral print dress while attending the final.

Russell Crowe was born in Wellington, New Zealand, but lives in Australia. He and Theriot reportedly met on the set of the movie Broken City in 2013. In October 2022, they appeared together on the red carpet for the first time. Crowe divorced his wife Danielle Spencer (53), with whom he has two sons, in 2018 after around 15 years of marriage. Crowe and Spencer are said to have not been a couple since 2012.

As early as January 2022, Crowe and his girlfriend were in the audience in Melbourne. The couple seems to share a passion for tennis: in December 2020, the two were photographed by photographers at a match on the tennis court. In August 2021, they were spotted together again on the tennis court, including a cuddle unit.

This year’s Australian Open men’s final between Novak Djokovic (35) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (24) will take place next Sunday (January 29).
