“I’m looking for a challenge” or “Adventure appeals to me”: These are often sentences that come up when the participants of the RTL show “I’m a star – get me out of here!” report on why they go to the Australian jungle for two weeks under adverse conditions. However, many people lose their desire for adventure quickly if they have only eaten rice and beans for a few days at a time because a member of the group regularly fails the jungle test.
Maybe one or the other will then remember the real reason why most people go to the jungle camp: it’s money. RTL pays a pretty penny for participating in the disgusting show. This year’s top fee is even said to be half a million dollars. This is reported by the “Bild” newspaper. Accordingly, the broadcaster should allow Claudia Effenberg’s participation to cost so much.
With 500,000 euros, the wife of ex-soccer player Stefan Effenberg is the undisputed leader of this year’s field of participants. According to the report, Martin Semmelrogge (100,000 euros) and Lucas Cordalis (150,000 euros) should also collect six-figure fees.
Singer Markus Mörl, model Papis Loveday and actress Jana Pallaske rank in the middle with a remuneration of 70 to 80,000 euros.
At the bottom there are Oliver Kahn ex Verena Kerth, model Tessa Bergmeier (33), the TV stars Luigi Birofio and Cecilia Asoro, Jolina Mennen and Cosimo Citiolo, better known as the “Checker vom Neckar”. According to “Bild”, they should all get less than 50,000 euros.
Nevertheless, they could also fly to Germany in six figures in the end: because the jungle king or jungle queen collects 100,000 euros for winning the show.
RTL did not want to comment on the speculation about the fees.
