Frank Rosin (56), Alexander Kumptner (39) and Ali Güngörmüs (46) are traveling through the USA for kabel eins. “Roadtrip America – Three top chefs on four wheels” starts on February 9, 2023. In four episodes, the TV chefs embark on a culinary trip every Thursday at 8:15 p.m.
The three “big egos” (kabel eins) travel 4,500 miles across the United States in a small mobile home. It goes west to east, from California to Arizona, Nevada and Texas to Florida. Along the way, the chefs not only experience culinary highlights, but also have to face “sporting adventures” and other challenges.
“Roadtrip America – Three Top Chefs on Four Wheels” is an adaptation of the British format “Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip”. Since 2018, a trio has been traveling around the world around British star chef Gordon Ramsay (“In Teufels Küche”, 56), who is also well-known in this country. In the first season, Ramsay and Co. traveled to different places. In the second round they traveled through the USA, in the third through Greece.
Frank Rosin is a friend of the house at kabel eins. Since 2009, he has been helping catering businesses that have gotten into trouble with “Rosins Restaurants”, among other things. In 2014 he hosted “In Teufels Küche” based on the British show with Gordon Ramsay.
Alexander Kumptner has been a juror in “The Taste” alongside Frank Rosin since 2020. In 2022, the Austrian got two of his own shows on Sat.1 with “Double Cooks Better” and “Fridge Open”. Ali Güngörmüs is a regular guest on various cooking shows such as “Die Küchenschlacht”. In “Potgeldjäger”, the native Turk was Frank Rosin’s successor as a juror.
