Rihanna was nominated in the categories “Outstanding Variety Special (live)”, “Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special”, “Outstanding Musical Direction”, “Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special” and “Outstanding Technical Direction and Cinematography for a Special”.

After giving birth to her first child with US rapper A$AP Rocky in May 2022, Rihanna’s performance at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 12, 2023 marked the start of her long-awaited stage comeback.
