She is one of the most successful and highest paid actresses in the world. Now Reese Witherspoon (46) has taken on a new mega project: For the comedy series “All Stars” on Amazon Prime Video, she takes on both the production and the leading role.
As “Deadline” reports, Amazon has commissioned two seasons of the series by screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna (55). Witherspoon plays a cheerleader who brings the sport, which is particularly famous in the USA, to England and teaches it at a school. Her company “Hello Sunshine” also takes over the production of the series. “I’ve been looking for a project for a long time where women are their own heroines and show that to the younger generation,” says Reese Witherspoon. “When I heard about this series, I knew right away, this is it.”

Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke said she was “overjoyed to be working with Reese Witherspoon”: “We are extremely excited to be collaborating with Reese on this one of a kind series.”
According to Forbes, the actress, who won two Golden Globes, was the richest actress in the world last year with a fortune of $400 million.
