Oscar winner Reese Witherspoon (47) has now shown how important family is to her despite her second divorce. At a party with her son Deacon (19), she celebrated with Deacon’s father, her first husband Ryan Phillippe (48).
The actress appeared in jeans and a red sequined blazer, posing radiantly for family photos her ex shared on Instagram. Reason for the party: Musician’s son Deacon presented his new album.
Witherspoon and Phillippe were married from 1999 to 2007; after the divorce they retained joint custody of Deacon and daughter Ava (23). Both repeatedly emphasized how important good co-parenting is to them: “As a divorced parent, you have to get to that point where it’s not yourself that comes first,” Ryan Phillippe once said in an interview.
Witherspoon (estimated fortune: 400 million dollars) announced the separation from her second husband Jim Toth (52) in March. She has been married to him since 2011, her son Tennessee is 10. The actress also wants to be there with Toth as peacefully as possible for their child: Tennessee, according to the 47-year-old, has “top priority”.
