The ZDF thriller “You shouldn’t lie” from the “In the Shadow of Fear” series achieved the best primetime ratings on Monday evening. 4.75 million (17.9 percent) followed the thriller with Julia Koschitz, Susi Stach and Nicole Mercedes Müller from 8.15 p.m. RTL came closest with Günther Jauch’s quiz “Who wants to be a millionaire?”, which was followed by 3.54 million (15.0 percent).

In the first, 2.48 million (9.4 percent) watched the nature documentary “River Giants”. Afterwards, 2.19 million (8.5 percent) stayed tuned to the ARD discussion round “Hard but fair”. This time, Louis Klamroth’s topic was “The schnitzel question in the supermarket: cheap, organic or better not at all?”. The British crime thriller “Inspector Barnaby: Gesund aber dead” with John Nettles, Jason Hughes and Jane Wymark attracted 1.82 million (6.8 percent) to ZDFneo.

The Vox show “The Lion’s Den” recorded 1.69 million (7.0 percent). Meanwhile, the Sat.1 reality documentary “111 gifted lightning bulbs!” to 1.13 million (4.3 percent). Kabel eins aired the US action comedy “Lethal Weapon” starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover, which convinced 770,000 people (3.0 percent) to tune in.

With the RTLzwei docu-soap “The Geissens – A terribly glamorous family!” 720,000 people (2.7 percent) spent the evening. The American action series “9-1-1: 911 L.A.” with Angela Bassett, Peter Krause and Jennifer Love Hewitt had 670,000 viewers (2.5 percent) on ProSieben.
