In the first week of January, television is watched properly in Germany: On Thursday alone, almost 17 million TV viewers were counted during prime time on ARD, ZDF and RTL.
The ARD thriller “Nord bei Nordwest – Auf der Flug” (with Hinnerk Schönemann behind and in front of the camera – he made his directorial debut) had an average of 7.96 million viewers (28.0 percent) from 8:15 p.m.
The ZDF series “Der Bergdoktor” (episode: “Separate Worlds”) reached an average of 5.40 million (19.0 percent market share) and the RTL quiz “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? The 3 million euro week” with Günther Jauch came to 3.49 million (15.4 percent).
It was followed by the six-year-old adventure comedy “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” at Vox (1.18 million/4.5 percent), the spy film persiflage “Codename U.N.C.L.E.” at Kabel Eins (0.69 million/2.6 percent) and the RTLzwei documentary series “Reeperbahn Privat! Das Echte Leben auf den Kiez” (0.68 million/2.4 percent).
This was followed by the French mini-series “Biarritz – Mord am Meer” on Sat.1 (0.65 million/2.5 percent), the American sci-fi comedy “Men in Black 3” from 2012 on ZDFneo (0.59 million /2.1 percent) and the ProSieben ranking show “The Best: The Most Surprising Turning Points” (0.51 million/2.0 percent).
