Ralph Siegel (77) “defeated” cancer. The composer and producer of the “Bild” newspaper confirmed this: “I feel like a completely new person. This good news gives me new strength and motivation.” The message is “a wonderful outlook for the coming months and hopefully years,” he added. Siegel also told the newspaper: “My prostate cancer is gone. The metastases in the shoulder have also disappeared. The liver and kidneys are also free of metastases.”

Last October, the 77-year-old made it public that he had prostate cancer for the third time. “After twelve years, my prostate cancer is back. I’ve had the first radiation treatments since Wednesday – also against metastases in my left shoulder,” he said in an interview with “Bild am Sonntag”.

In 2007 he had his first prostate operation, which lasted six and a half hours. However, the prostate was not removed, Siegel explains. Three years later, the cancer returned, and seven weeks of radiation followed. “My father died of prostate cancer at the age of 61, I’m scared of that.” That’s why he’s been doing a blood test every three months since 2012.
