The “Quiz Taxi” will return in a double pack in a few weeks: the new episodes of the cult show with moderator Thomas Hackenberg (60) will start on September 4th, as the broadcaster kabel eins announced. The format can be seen again Monday to Friday at 6:55 p.m. in the evening program. A spin-off has also been announced.

The “Quiz Taxi” with presenter Thomas Hackenberg was broadcast on kabel eins from 2006 to 2008. In the rolling guessing show, unsuspecting taxi passengers have the opportunity to win money during their taxi ride by answering questions from a wide variety of knowledge areas. The prize money increases with the number of questions. In addition, the candidates have the opportunity to use jokers – such as the passerby joker – if they do not know the correct answer.

“With the ‘Quiz Taxi’ we are bringing the popular TV brand back to the screens and are further expanding our own production portfolio,” broadcaster Marc Rasmus had already announced the new edition at the Screenforce Days in June.

There will also be a spin-off on the Joyn streaming service from September 18: “Quiz Taxi – Joyn Edition” with social media star Amar. According to the press release, not only unsuspecting taxi passengers answer the questions here, driver and quiz master Amar also challenges friends and well-known faces from the social media world in his quiz taxi.

“Even back then, I really enjoyed watching the ‘Quiz Taxi’ and I was very happy about the opportunity to be a host myself and to be able to give the format my very own touch!” says host Amar happily. Joyn will air two new episodes a week starting September 18th.
