Recently there has been irritation and public criticism of Margrethe and the Danish royal court. She deprived the children of her son Prince Joachim (53) of the royal titles. A little later, the regent, who was extremely popular with the people, apologized for her actions, but still stood by the decision. Her second son, Crown Prince Frederik (54), jumped to her side and strengthened his mother’s back.
