A pretty sporty royal: Prince William (41) demonstrated his volleyball skills at an appointment in Cornwall, England. The Prince of Wales visited a popular surfing beach in Newquay on Thursday (May 9) and, among other things, met rescue teams and observed training exercises. Numerous people gathered on the beach to catch a glimpse of the royal.
William was dressed in dark blue suit trousers, a light blue shirt and cool sunglasses for the appearance, and didn’t miss the opportunity to play a game of beach volleyball with some teenagers from the rescue club. William apparently particularly shone with his strong serving skills, which could hardly be cushioned by the opposing team.
William then took the time to take selfies with numerous visitors. A teenager was also delighted to receive a very special souvenir from the heir to the British throne: the royal signed the cast of the boy with a broken arm.
“A brilliant afternoon at Fistral Beach meeting some of the people working to keep our coast safe this summer,” Prince William concluded after the visit on his Instagram account, where he shared some shots from the beach.
