Norway’s Crown Prince Haakon (49) and Crown Princess Mette-Marit (49) are currently visiting Great Britain. During their trip, the two also met the British royals. Prince William (40) and his wife, Princess Kate (41), received the crown prince couple on March 2 at Windsor Castle.
“It is a pleasure to welcome the Crown Prince and Princess of Norway to Windsor this morning,” read a photo of the two royal couples in a post on the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official account. At the meeting, they talked about green energy, the environment and other important topics, among other things. On this occasion, the two couples met with representatives of Norwegian companies working on sustainable energy solutions.
The Norwegian royal family also published the picture on their Instagram account. The night before, Haakon and Mette-Marit spoke at the “Norway Night Networking Reception” in London. Kate and William, meanwhile, attended a parade to mark Wales’ national holiday, St David’s Day, on Wednesday.
William has been a Colonel in the Welsh Guards since December. Kate became Colonel in the Irish Guards and King Consort Camilla (75) has been Colonel in the Grenadier Guards ever since. Prince William succeeded his father, King Charles III. (74), Kate on her husband and Camilla replacing Prince Andrew (63).
