Prince Harry (38) and his wife Duchess Meghan (41) thanked Elton John (75) for his friendship. Elton John stopped in Los Angeles as part of his farewell tour. Disney streamed his performance at Dodger Stadium live. In the run-up to the broadcast of the concert, greetings to the superstar were displayed. Including those of Harry and Meghan.
“Thank you for being a friend to my mother,” says Prince Harry in the clip. Elton John was close friends with Lady Diana. They had met in 1981, before Di’s marriage to today’s King Charles III. (74). For her funeral in 1997, he rewrote his song “Candle in the Wind” from Marilyn Monroe to Princess Diana.
Harry also thanked Elton John for being a friend to himself and his family around his wife Meghan. “Thank you for being our friend, thank you for being a friend to our children”. Harry and Meghan have two children together, Archie (3) and Lilibet (1).
Last but not least, Harry and Meghan thanked Elton John for decades of entertaining people around the world with his music. The singer has been on the road with his Farewell Yellow Brick Road farewell tour since 2018. The mammoth tour in Stockholm is scheduled to end on July 8th.
