Prince Harry (38) is said to be trying to change his memoirs at the last minute. The Duke of Sussex is said to fear being slurred as some of his revelations came after the death of Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022), her funeral and the accession of his father, King Charles III. (73), “couldn’t look good”, according to media reports quoted by “The Telegraph”.

Accordingly, Harry is said to have asked for some significant changes, but “do not want a complete rewrite”. “But it might be too late,” a source told Sun on Sunday. Rather than watering down the memoir, the publishers may want the Duke to add details about what happened after the Queen’s death, The Telegraph suggests.

At the end of July, The Sun reported that the manuscript was ready and approved by lawyers. The publisher responsible, Penguin Random House, wanted to make an effort to publish the book in the US in time for Thanksgiving as a potential Christmas gift, it was said at the time.

The queen died on September 8th and Charles became king on the same day. The funeral took place on September 19.
