From September 9th, the sixth edition of the Invictus Games launched by Prince Harry (38) will take place in the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital of Düsseldorf. As if hosting the sporting event for war-disabled veterans wasn’t enough of a task, Harry, who will be on site for the entire eight-day period, has other important dates to attend – and not just in Germany. A look at his busy September schedule.

Even before he sets foot on German soil, Prince Harry has another heart project on the agenda: the WellChild Awards will take place in his British homeland on September 7th. It is planned that he will present one of the prizes there and give a speech.

Harry is also a patron of the charity for seriously ill children, and has been for 15 years. It’s one of the few patronages he retained after the “Megxit.” Last year he had to cancel his participation at short notice for a tragic reason – Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022) died.

September 8th will therefore be an emotional day this year. This marks the anniversary of the death of his grandmother Elizabeth II. The British “The Independent” reports that Harry could still be in Great Britain that day. However, it is not assumed that the prince will meet with a member of his family during this period, it is said. His father King Charles III. (74) is currently still in the Scottish summer residence, Balmoral Castle.

Less than 48 hours after the WellChild Awards, the opening ceremony of the Invictus Games will take place in Düsseldorf. Harry, like the entire UK trip, will still tackle this without his wife. Duchess Meghan (42) should arrive directly from the USA at a date that has not yet been announced – probably two days after Prince Harry – and play an important role in the graduation ceremony on September 16th. Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier (67) will also appear there.

Meanwhile, in addition to a video message from Chancellor Olaf Scholz (65), an appearance by US rapper Macklemore (40) is on the agenda for the starting shot. Harry will also receive support from Defense Minister Boris Pistorius (63) on opening day in two respects. He will initially also be on site at the Invictus Games and then jet off to Mainz with Prince Harry.

The reason: ZDF surprisingly announced that Prince Harry would be the guest star on the show “Das aktuell sportstudio”. However, since there are more than 200 kilometers between Düsseldorf and Mainz and the show is scheduled to start punctually at 11 p.m., there are a few air miles instead of motorway kilometers: “The density of appointments and the distances between appointments make it necessary to use air transport,” he said a spokeswoman for the Ministry of Defense at the request of “Bild”.

It is planned that he will also speak there about the importance of the Invictus Games. Harry will certainly also say a few words about his namesake and compatriot Harry Kane (30), who has been playing at FC Bayern Munich since this season, in the sports program.

For the remaining days between September 9th and 16th, no specific additional dates have been communicated for Prince Harry in addition to the Invictus Games. But maybe he can still be seen somewhere with his Meghan? In any case, one thing should be certain: After the event, they will jet together again to the two children in the US adopted home, which Harry then did not see for a week and a half.
