Prince William (41) and Prince Harry (39) were there, but the renowned Eton College may have to do without Prince George (10) as a student. As the Daily Mail now reports, there is increasing speculation that William’s son, who is second in line to the British throne behind his father, is instead heading towards Marlborough College. His mother, Princess Kate (41), was at the school in Wiltshire.
The Princess of Wales recently reportedly paid a visit to her former school for the second time in just a few weeks. This time accompanied by her husband and ten-year-old George. According to the report, the educational institution costs 47,000 pounds (around 55,000 euros) per year. At Marlborough College, unlike Eton, which is only attended by boys, students are taught together. Something that is supposedly very important to Kate.
Before Prince William, Princess Kate and Prince George went on a sightseeing tour there, the family also visited Eton College in June, according to the Daily Mail. The school is located near Windsor Castle and not far from Prince William’s current family home.
George currently attends Lambrook School with his eight-year-old sister Princess Charlotte and five-year-old brother Prince Louis. George and Charlotte previously attended Thomas’s Battersea School, which is not far from Kensington Palace in London. Louis was at a preschool in London. However, the family’s move to Windsor in 2022 – they live in Adelaide Cottage – also meant a change for the siblings academically – for the first time all three children are at the same school together. Prince George probably still has some time to choose a new educational institution; a change is likely to take place by 2026 at the latest.
