Pop musician Adel Tawil (44, “Lieder”) has paid a high price for his career in the past. “Things also broke for me because I was very selfish. That would be something I regret in places,” Tawil told the German Press Agency. “Of course, this selfishness also meant that I was obsessed with making music and simply didn’t allow myself a break.”
During this phase, his private life suffered. “I just kept going and that had a price. For example, that relationships break up. But in the end everything happens for a reason, I tell myself that today.”
On his fourth solo album “Spiegelbild”, which will be released on Friday, the Berlin musician gives insights into his inner life. It’s darker and more personal than ever.
