US actress Andie MacDowell (64) would like to see her newborn granddaughter as often as possible. “It’s such a nice feeling to be a grandmother,” she said on the sidelines of this year’s Berlin Fashion Week on Wednesday evening.

“Unfortunately, I don’t see them that much.” So far she has only been able to visit her granddaughter twice, but she is working to change this as soon as possible. “The crazy thing is, she never cries. She’s the happiest baby in the world,” MacDowell said. She was accompanied to fashion week by her daughter Rainey Qualley. MacDowell has three children. In June last year she announced on her Instagram profile that her son Julian would become a father.

MacDowell has acted in various films and series over the past few decades. Her best-known works include productions such as Groundhog Day, starring Hollywood star Bill Murray, and the series Maid, for which she starred with her other daughter, Margaret Qualley.
