The ZDF celebrity magazine “Leute heute” (Monday to Friday from 5:45 p.m.) will be discontinued this year. This is reported by “Bild am Sonntag” from January 29th. According to the report, the weekday news magazine “hallo deutschland” (weekdays at 5:10 p.m.) will get the broadcasting time that has become free and instead also report on stars and starlets. The appointment should take place at the end of July, but at the latest at the end of September.
According to the website, People magazine deals with “topics from the world of stars that move: entertainment, society, fashion and royals”. The show premiered in 1997.
Karen Webb (51) has moderated the celebrity magazine since 2007, when she took over the job from Nina Ruge (66). “It’s a shame for me as the presenter of the show, but when one door closes, a new one opens,” Webb told the “Bild am Sonntag”. It was a privilege for her to “deliver a successful, challenging program every day with an excellent team. And it is also part of the job of a journalist to be open to digital change.”
