Pop icon Madonna is proud of her children’s artistic streak and likes to bring them on stage with her during her performances. “When I go on tour, nothing makes me happier than knowing that we’re all working on the same show and creating the magic together,” the 65-year-old “Material Girl” singer told fashion magazine W.
The singer explained that on her current “Celebration Tour” she wanted to integrate her four younger children, who still live with her, into her shows. “Everyone dances and plays musical instruments and has been doing so for years.” The 18-year-old Mercy accompanies her mother on the piano during the song “Bad Girl”, David, also 18, joins her on stage for a duet, and the eleven-year-old twins Stella and Estere dance during Madonna’s concerts. Madonna adopted all four from Malawi as children.
According to W Magazine, Madonna’s two older children, Lourdes (27) and Rocco (23), also took part in previous concerts. “Of course I’m her mother too, so sometimes we get on each other’s nerves,” the pop singer explained. “We’re a family of artists, but we’re also a family, and that’s what happens.”
