A tearful reunion of “Friends” stars in rain-soaked Los Angeles: Jennifer Aniston (54) and Lisa Kudrow (59) were there when Courteney Cox unveiled her star plaque on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame on Monday (local time). Despite the pouring rain, fans and photographers also found their way to the tourist mile. The 58-year-old actress was celebrated there with the 2750th plaque.

She is not a good speaker and will definitely burst into tears, said Cox, visibly touched. She brought her daughter Coco (18), from her divorced marriage to David Arquette, and her boyfriend, musician Johnny McDaid, to the honor.

Oscar winner Laura Dern (56), Kudrow and Aniston paid tribute to her as guest speakers. The “Friends” colleagues met almost 30 years ago, Aniston said, shaking his head. As a newcomer, she was totally nervous to meet the already successful Cox. But Cox was always helpful, funny and the best friend, said Aniston – with tears in his eyes.

The role of chef Monica Geller in the US cult series “Friends” brought Cox Hollywood fame and many fans. Aniston, who has had a star on the Walk of Fame since 2012, played Monica’s best friend, the mostly hapless Rachel Green, on the sitcom. The hit series ran between 1994 and 2004.

For the special show “Friends: The Reunion” all six main actors came together again in 2021 – in addition to Aniston, Kudrow and Cox, David Schwimmer, Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc.

After Friends, Cox found success with her iconic role as reporter Gale Weathers in the horror film series Scream. She starred in the comedy sitcom Cougar Town and most recently in the black comedy series Shining Vale.
