On March 12th the annual Academy Awards will take place again. The makers of the Oscars have now announced a whole series of first stars who will take the stage as presenters. The celebrities usually present individual categories and present their gold boy to the respective winner.
The well-known group of presenters consists of many greats of the acting landscape. Among others, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (50), Emily Blunt (40), Samuel L. Jackson (74), Michael B. Jordan (36), Melissa McCarthy (52) and Janelle Monáe (37) will appear. They are also joined by Glenn Close (75), Donnie Yen (59), Zoe Saldaña (44), Jonathan Majors (33) and Deepika Padukone (37).
With Ariana DeBose (32), Jennifer Connelly (52), Riz Ahmed (40), Troy Kotsur (54), and Questlove (52), there are also stars who have already won an Oscar themselves. More presenters will be announced shortly. It was previously announced that US moderator Jimmy Kimmel (55) will lead through the evening.
The Oscar ceremony will take place on March 12. Due to the time difference, it can be seen in Germany on the night of March 13, from around 2 a.m. in the morning. The German Netflix war drama “Nothing New in the West” by Edward Berger (53) has been nominated for nine Oscars.
