The last episode of their podcast “Die Pochers!” has made headlines. After rumors about an alleged marriage crisis, Oliver Pocher (45) and his wife Amira Pocher (30) confirmed that it was currently “difficult” for them. The couple talks about the impact of the episode in the new episode, which will be available exclusively on the Podimo platform from June 30th.
“In the current situation […] you can do whatever you want. Every appearance is a big headline in itself,” explains the comedian before he and his wife talk about the excesses that everything has recently had. One incident was particularly disgusting.
Amira Pocher got her first dick pic last week on Instagram from “some weirdo” without being asked. “I almost dropped my phone. It was really disgusting. It was really gross,” she says. “I mean, there’s a headline: ‘Crisis’. Not even ‘Separation’. And that’s enough for people, or men, to feel prompted: ‘You know what, I’m taking my chance now […] and send her a nice dickpic of me.'” She wonders what men like that are thinking.
In addition, there was apparently a lot of other inappropriate news. “It’s just a PR number from us,” she read online. Other messages have ranged from “My husband and I have been dating for 30 years too” to “Now you’ve got what you want, now fuck off”. That kind of thing hurts Amira Pocher, but she also expected it: “I knew very well that there would be these voices that would say: ‘Yes, now she somehow has a status and now she no longer needs Oli.’ So unbelievable, really unbelievable.” She would prefer to “just smack a pepper” to such people.
The presenter finds it difficult when people just want to judge how a relationship is going on the basis of a weekly podcast. She’s also been getting a lot of “unsolicited relationship tips” for the past week, which she thinks are “really wonderful.”
“Every and every couple out there also has some kind of thing where you’re like, ‘Yeah well, this is a bit annoying.’ Or where you somehow deal with something,” says Oliver Pocher. “That’s clearly part of it. One of the things that makes this podcast special is that we don’t always have the same opinion […] or have the same views. That’s part of a normal relationship. And that’s it It’ll be interesting to see what’s going to happen.”
Now they wanted to sweep “on their own doorstep”, it said in the previous episode. The two couldn’t and didn’t want to hide their problems. “We don’t shy away from difficult issues either,” emphasized Oliver Pocher. “It’s just difficult at the moment,” added his wife. “The people around us also know that and one of them chatted away, but that’s the way it is.”
“Relationship is not always just a good mood,” said Oliver Pocher and Amira Pocher said: “We can do it. We will always find a way somehow and hopefully the podcast will always exist anyway. We are still a team. The The Pochers are the Pochers.”
Oliver and Amira Pocher have been married for a little less than four years. They said yes at the end of 2019 and have two children together. Oliver Pocher was previously married to Alessandra Meyer-Wölden, with whom he has three children.
