Oliver (44) and Amira Pocher (30) will compete against chef Steffen Henssler (50) at “Grill den Henssler” on Sunday. However, the couple also struggles with themselves. A press release in the run-up to the episode gives private insights into the Pochers’ life together. In it, the two explain that the roles at Pocher are divided up in the classic way, or as the 44-year-old puts it: “I pay and she cooks.” Accordingly, Amira Pocher is already finished early in the evening, as she says: “Often I’m just happy to be in bed at 7 p.m. and for myself and not having to please anyone.”

When it comes to upbringing, women also play the leading role at the Pochers. Mom is the strict parent, while dad Oliver describes himself as more of a “good guy” in parenting. But he also has some rules: “It’s very important to me that the cell phone isn’t on the table while eating and that they say ‘please’ and ‘thank you’, that they don’t get their ass carried and they know where it is plate belongs.”

In the beginning, however, Oliver Pocher is not very helpful on the show. The comedian gets on his wife’s nerves and the French star chef Martin Klein (45). After Pocher knocked one spell after the other and aped the accent of the cooking coach, Amira bursts the hat cord on the show: “Fuck off now!” He then demands an apology: “I’m not going to continue here until someone apologizes!”

The Pochers had a lot planned for their menu: as a starter, potato and chicken salad in brick dough with tomato cream, Ottoman fried chicken with spicy pickles and red rice as the main course and fig dumplings with sesame sauce as dessert.

The “Grill den Henssler” episode with Amira and Oliver Pocher will be broadcast on November 6 at 8:15 p.m. on VOX.
