It recently became known that Duchess Meghan cannot present her podcast “Archetypes” on Spotify. The producers decided against the project and there was already speculation in the media about what the royal dropout couple would do next. After leaving the royal family in 2020, the two already gave the infamous interview with Oprah Winfrey, they made a documentary “Harry and Meghan” on Netflix, Prince Harry released his memoirs, some interviews followed and Meghan did hers podcast.

But all of these projects are considered completed or, in the case of the podcast, even scrapped. The question remains, how will the Sussexes earn their bread in the future? Apparently they’re honing their streaming skills and have secured the film rights to a book called ‘Meet Me At The Lake’ written by Carley Fortune.

The spicy thing is less that Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry apparently want to go under the film producers, but rather the story of the film. The fictional story of the novel resembles the true story of the couple. The story of the book is based on two people who begin a romance in their 30s – similar to the duke and duchess themselves. One of the two characters is dealing with a trauma from the past from losing a parent in a car accident as a child .

The book also deals with topics such as alcohol and drug abuse, the prince himself reported in detail on such experiences in his memoirs “Spare”. There is also a small nod to Meghan’s past, as the novel is set in Toronto, where the actress lived while filming Suits.

It seems that Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan specifically chose this book because it is so close to their own story. A source told Britain’s The Sun magazine: “The book’s themes intrigued the couple and it was chosen for their first Netflix adaptation.”

In addition, Prince Harry is currently working on a series based around the Invictus Games, a sporting event for war veterans that is close to the heart of the prince. The series “Heart of Invictus” is expected to be released on Netflix later this year.
