Exactly eight years after the release of the last “Hunger Games” film “Mockingjay Part 2”, the successful franchise will be continued this year. The prequel film “The Panem Tributes” – The Ballad of Songbirds will be released in German cinemas on November 16th
The producing studio Lionsgate has now published the first poster for the fifth “Panem” film on Instagram. The motif shows a songbird and a snake meeting – and thus takes up the two animals from the film title.
The trailer for the new “Panem” film shouldn’t be long in coming either. Producer Nina Jacobson (57) announced this on Twitter a few days ago. Jacobson has accompanied the film series since the start of “The Hunger Games” in 2012.

For the fifth “Panem” film, a novel by original author Suzanne Collins (60) will be adapted again – the work “The Hunger Games X – The Song of Birds and Snakes” published in 2020. Already in August last year, a first scene of the new “Panem” film was published on Twitter.
