Royal drama is picking up steam: In a new trailer for a highly anticipated Netflix documentary, Prince Harry takes drastic words about his wife Meghan’s experiences in the royal family.
“It’s a dirty game,” says the 38-year-old in the clip released by Netflix on Monday about how the British media treated Meghan after she became royal. Harry also alludes to the tragic fate of his mother Princess Diana, who died in a car accident in Paris in 1997, being pursued by paparazzi.
“War on Meghan”
He was afraid that history would repeat itself, says the renegade royal, who now lives in California with his family, in the trailer, which lasts around one minute and is accompanied by dramatic music. It juxtaposes footage of Meghan and Diana being pursued by hordes of paparazzi. The accusation that racism played a role in Meghan’s fate is also raised again, and there is even talk of a “war against Meghan”. Harry’s promise to the audience comes at the very end: “No one knows the whole truth. We know the whole truth.”
The streaming giant wants to publish the first part of the documentary with several episodes on December 8th, the sequel “Volume II” is to follow on December 15th.
