When you look at the current pictures from Monaco, the world hit “The Lady in Red” by Chris de Burgh (75) automatically comes to mind. From head to toe and without a single color exception, the Monegasque Princess Charlène (45) has wrapped herself in the signal color. The occasion: The national holiday, also known as “La Fête du Prince”, takes place in Monaco every year on November 19th.

With the eye-catching outfit consisting of a coat, dress, gloves, boots and matching headgear, Princess Charlène attracted everyone’s attention. Her husband Prince Albert II (65) and their twins Gabriella and Jacques (8) almost faded into the background. They also dressed up for the festive occasion: like his father, the prince also dressed up in a traditional uniform. His sister Gabriella wore a navy blue double-breasted coat in the style of Princess Charlène.

First there was a service for the royal family, at which numerous other royals were present. Pictures from the Notre-Dame-Immaculée Cathedral show, among others, Princess Stéphanie (58) and Princess Caroline (66) as well as their children Andrea (39), Pierre (36), Alexandra (24) and Charlotte (37). The latter also appeared in a red look, but not nearly as eye-catching as the princess.

Afterwards, those present at the service headed towards the Prince’s Palace, where they posed for the photographers. After the parade in the courtyard, Albert and Charlène as well as Gabriella and Jacques greeted the assembled crowd from the balcony window of the palace.

Only last October, Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène confirmed in independent interviews that “everything is fine with our marriage.” Charlène described the rumors that this was not the case as “grueling and exhausting”, while her husband called them “hurtful”.
