At least it’s still Christmas in the German single charts – a whopping 78 Christmas carols are currently represented there, as GfK Entertainment announced. The leader is Wham! with “Last Christmas,” taking the lead on Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You.” The current week thus surpasses the record from the previous year, when 71 holiday titles were placed in the official German charts.
A Christmas production also tops the album charts: Michael Bublé’s “Christmas”. Sido follows in second place with his current album “Paul”. It is followed by Neptun with “OG Keemo”, “Da capo, Udo Jürgens” and in fifth place is Taylor Swift with her record “Midnights”.
