The album so far comes from the British synth-pop group Depeche Mode and the hit ’23 to date comes from old rocker Udo Lindenberg and rapper Apache 207.

“Incredible nine weeks in a row, the “Komet” by Udo Lindenberg and Apache 207 flew away from the competition in the official German charts,” said GfK Entertainment in Baden-Baden. “So you don’t have to be a prophet to guess the number one hit of the quarterly singles list.”

In terms of albums, Herbert Grönemeyer follows in second place. “‘Memento Mori’ and ‘Das ist los’ were only released at the end of March. But the sales were so outstanding that Depeche Mode and Herbert Grönemeyer already ended up the most popular albums in the first quarter of the year,” said GfK.

Behind them were Pink (“Trustfall”), Nina Chuba (“Glass”) and the Schlager duo Fantasy (“Mitten im Feuer”). When it came to singles, pop singer Miley Cyrus (“Flowers”) landed behind Lindenberg and Apache.
