Rapper Alligatoah (“Do you want to”) is not afraid of the arrival of artificial intelligence (AI) in the music industry. “I’m also looking forward to the moment when I can be replaced,” said the 34-year-old, whose real name is Lukas Strobel, to the German Press Agency. He has lived in Berlin for around 15 years. “I want to take on an AI. If at some point it can make the music that I’ve made in the past, then I’ll have to think of something better for the future. And if I can’t do that, I’m in the wrong job.”
Alligatoah’s new album “Off” will be released on March 22nd. The music video for his single “So Raus”, for which he worked with Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst, is, among other things, about videos that can be created using artificial intelligence.
