A friendly Smile is in the hotel business and gastronomy, the A and O. it Just disappears in Corona times of the prescribed respiratory protection mask. Murnau Alpenhof-chief Christian bear is driving, therefore, a project that relies on transparent plastic coverings.
Murnau – A friendly face at the hotel reception, a nice Smile from the waitress in the bar. All the guests had to do without in the past few weeks, especially since the legally prescribed limitations, in the course of the Corona pandemic all mimic emotions disappeared behind masks. But now the Chairman of the Hotel and restaurant Association in the district want to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Christian Baer, and Dominik Junold, managing partner of the consulting firm Credo of Vision, with a new development to correct the situation.

in the market town of the living engineer, Ekkehard Gorski (71), which can look back on a career with a major European aircraft manufacturer and a well-known German car brand, did not want to come to terms with the Situation and in his attempt to workshop a only ten grams heavy, the mouth-nose cover is made of a transparent PET-Material supplied by a respiratory power steering aerosols down in the direction of one’s own body. “Mr Gorsky turned to me if I could help him in the distribution,” says bear, who was immediately enthusiastic about the idea. “Glasses certified not more layers, you get good air, and the mask is reusable and easy to clean,” he says. The most Important thing: “The expression of human facial Expressions and the Smile are visible. Ideal for the gastronomy.“
the new product will be Marketed under the Motto “A Smile for Murnau” in the ten-pack for 95 Euro from the company Smile by Ego, and at the reception at the Alpenhof. “Because the masks made out of PET are plastic, we support the Murnauer project ‘Ashantree’, initiated by mayor Rolf Beuting, and want to be with a large part of the profit in Ghana, 1000 trees to plant,” says Junold, which is already for nine years in the Alpenhof, the last six years as Deputy Director. “Due to the reusability of the masks, the environmental load should be reduced compared to the disposable masks to be felt.” He hopes that through the use of the new mouth – and nose protection again soon cultural events can take place: “And the sports stadiums would not be empty.”
Meanwhile, almost all of the employees of the Alpenhof are equipped with it. So Jacob Stalinski, who performed at the reception his service praises about their comfort. “And you now see our facial expression, what our guests very well.” Additionally, they clean easily: “We take our disinfectant wipes.”
