Actress Muriel Baumeister (51) has breast cancer. The 51-year-old made this public in an interview with the magazine “Bunte”. Baumeister said she was “absolutely confident and can say I did everything I could to face this cancer.”
She had “done antibody therapy, chemotherapy, surgery – and I’m still doing radiotherapy at the moment. I’ve spent almost a year of my life on this,” said the actress, adding: “And a year ago, in July, was You’re not even sure that I’m going to be sitting here like this today.”
Baumeister has been on TV since the 1990s. She became known through the family series “Ein Haus in der Toscana” (1990-1994), the ZDF series “Der Landarzt” or the ARD crime series “Einsatz Hamburg Süd”. She also played one of the main roles in the TV series “Bis in denspitzen” and had numerous appearances in well-known formats such as “Derrick”, “Tatort” or “Polizeiruf 110”.
