Also this year, “Tatort” fans can look forward to a very special episode of the long-lived crime series for Christmas. The Munich commissioners Batic (Miroslav Nemec, 68) and Leitmayr (Udo Wachtveitl, 64) undertake a playful journey through time to the 1920s in “Tatort: Mord unter Misteln”. As usual, the Christmas “crime scene” will be broadcast on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 8:15 p.m.
In “Mord unter Misteln” Batic and Leitmayr are invited by their colleague Kalli (Ferdinand Hofer, 29) as investigators to a Christmas crime dinner. From the Munich dinner table, the detective game jumps straight into an English mansion in 1924. Someone has murdered the butler. Detective Chief Inspector Francis Lightmyer (Wachtveitl) and Detective Constable Ivor Partridge (Nemec) in period costumes go in search of the killer. Was it the resolute lady (Sunnyi Melles, 64), the beguiling singer (Katharina Schlothauer, 37) or the prudish vicar (Joshua Jaco Seelenbinder, 32)? Each of the six guests has something to hide and plays a double game with the two police officers…
In what is now the 90th case of Batic and Leitmayr, a classic British murder mystery à la Agatha Christie (1890-1976) unfolds. Jobst Oetzmann (61) directed “Tatort: Mord unter Misteln” from a screenplay by Robert Löhr (49).
