One of the most diverse art and music festivals in Germany has started with the MS Dockville in front of the imposing harbor backdrop of Hamburg. Among others, Anaïs, Rahel, Chazz Luck and the band Buntspecht made the start on Friday.
In addition, the Giant Rooks, Monolink, Arlo Parks, Paula Hartmann and Danger Dan, among others, were announced by Sunday. A total of more than 180 artists will provide a colorful mix of indie, electro, soul, funk and hip-hop.
Art, Culture and Party
Until Sunday, however, the program not only offers a lot of music, but also art, culture and partying – spread over more than twelve stages. There are also workshops and readings. Around 60,000 visitors are expected at the festival site in Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg by Sunday – and that in largely summer-like weather with sometimes very warm temperatures.
Only at the beginning of the week did the organizers Kopf und Steine GmbH and the Hamburg Port Authority (HPA) extend the contract for the use of the site until 2028. The festival has been held at the location since 2007.
