Michael Wendler (50) returns to German television. RTLzwei accompanies his wife Laura Müller (22) during her pregnancy. The couple announced in February that they were expecting their first child. It’s supposed to be born in the summer. The docu-soap is scheduled to run this year, but there is no exact date yet.
According to RTLzwei, the format should accompany the expectant parents during the birth preparation course and when buying a baby bed. Even the birth should be part of the docu-soap. The broadcaster announces them as the “season highlight” of the six episodes.
For his comeback on German television, Michael Wendler even distances himself from conspiracy theories. With posts about the “dictatorship” of the federal government during the corona pandemic, he made himself unbearable for RTL in 2020. RTLzwei’s parent station cut the party singer out of the current season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”.
Now he is refraining from it – in the interests of his wife and the baby, as he says. “What they need least of all are the conflicts and controversies that have been associated with my name lately,” RTLzwei quoted him as saying. “I would like to clearly distance myself from some of my statements in the past.”
A few days ago, Michael Wendler closed his channel on Telegram, the platform notorious for conspiracy myths.
