Ruby O. Fee (28) and Matthias Schweighöfer (42) have been in a relationship since 2019. Now the actor has revealed how the couple manages to keep their love fresh and exciting. While the two have “set up a shared house” in London, they live in separate apartments in Berlin, he told the magazine “Bunte” in an interview. But that also has advantages, says Schweighöfer, “because you can miss the other person.”
It was nice for him to “pick up” his girlfriend again. He sums it up: “Separate apartments are good for love.” Nevertheless, in Berlin they are currently working on “moving closer together in terms of housing.”
Schweighöfer and O. Fee had already revealed in an October interview that the two of them regularly go to couples therapy. That’s where everything comes “on the table,” he now explains. “Ruby and I are very opposites, for example when it comes to our upbringing, but we also have a lot in common. Which doesn’t necessarily make it any easier. Two big egos who are both looking for harmony.” That’s why there’s a problem with therapy. “We consciously use the therapy to rub ourselves together and find each other again.”
The 14-year age difference doesn’t bother them. He gives the actress her freedom: “If she wants to travel with her girls, I have no right to stop her just because I would like to have her by my side. A 28-year-old woman has to live her life.” , Schweighöfer clarifies.
Ruby O. Fee apparently gets along well with his two children, who come from his previous relationship with assistant director Ani Schromm. “Ruby had built up a very friendly relationship with the children right from the start. Without any artificiality or trying to be a second mother. She’s just cool, calm and loving,” the actor enthuses about his partner.
