After “1729 issues of the talk show”, moderator Markus Lanz (53) had to cancel his program planned for Wednesday evening at short notice. “The moderator had to pass due to cold symptoms and hoarseness,” as “DWDL” reports, citing the production company Mhoch2.
The broadcaster ZDF, which also reported the failure on Twitter, also sent the Talk-King wishes for recovery: “Unfortunately, the show has to be canceled at short notice today. We wish you a speedy recovery!” Says the social media channel.
A Lanz talk with Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck (53) was planned after the Champions League coverage. “The show would have been scheduled for 12:00 a.m. The ‘Future Prize’ and the ‘Sportstudio’ went according to plan,” the broadcaster also said. Instead of the talk show, a “Heute journal update” was broadcast from 11:55 p.m. and the “Auslandsjournal” documentary “Russia, Ukraine and the World” from 12:10 a.m.
However, it is not yet clear when the Lanz-Habeck talk will be made up for. When asked about this under the ZDF post in the short message service, the broadcaster replied “currently” that it was not yet known.
