After the end of the fourth season of the US Netflix series “Love is Blind” in April, the streaming service is planning more dating material. In a press release, Netflix announced a German version for which 30 singles are currently being sought. The broadcast date of “Love is Blind: Germany” is planned for summer 2024.

Netflix has already adapted the show “Too Hot To Handle” for the German market. Since this was successful, they want to bring out another global dating hit as a Germany variant. Wiebke Schodder, Director Non-Fiction Content Netflix DACH, explains: “It’s no secret that the German-speaking audience has a big appetite for reality and dating shows. We want to satisfy that.” The casting is in progress together with production partner Redseven Entertainment. We are looking for 30 German-speaking singles who can find out more on the website https://redseven.de/loveisblind.

In “Love is Blind” singles flirt in separate booths without seeing each other. When the chemistry is right and a special connection is formed, they get engaged and only then see their chosen one in a big meeting for the first time. The engaged couple then has to face the daily reality check and plan the wedding. At the altar it is decided whether love really is blind.

The original US version of the series premiered on Netflix in 2020. The format has already been adapted in Brazil, Japan and Sweden. An English version is currently in production. It is also scheduled to appear next year.
