Singer Celine Dion (54) makes her acting debut in the romantic comedy “Love Again”. According to “People” magazine, the film, which is due to hit the cinemas in spring 2023, is a US remake of the German film “SMS für dich” (2016), which is based on the book of the same name by author Sofie Cramer.
The main actors are Priyanka Chopra Jonas (40) as Mira and Sam Heughan (42) as Rob, directed by James C. Strouse (46). In a first trailer released on Tuesday (February 14), Mira texts her late fiancé, unaware that the number has since been reassigned, to journalist Rob’s work cellphone, who is intrigued by the news.
With her classic “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now”, Céline Dion not only provides the soundtrack, but also plays the central character who ultimately brings Mira and Rob together. At the same time, the trailer also announces new music from the Canadian superstar.
“I had a lot of fun doing this movie,” Dion told People. “And to have the privilege of starring in my very first film with the amazing and talented actors Priyanka Chopra and Sam Heughan is a privilege I will always cherish.” According to the Grammy winner, “Love Again” is “a wonderful feel-good story and I hope people will like it and the new songs.”
