For once, the newly crowned world champion Lionel Messi (35) is not thinking about king football these days. Together with his wife Antonela Roccuzzo (34) and their three children, he is currently in the Swiss Alps, where he can either enjoy the picturesque mountain panorama or splash around in a hot spring pool with his loved ones. He let his more than 425 million followers participate with a photo series on Instagram.

At least his three sons Thiago (10), Mateo (7) and Ciro (4) wear ski boots on one of the snapshots and also try their hand at the slopes, as recorded on Roccuzzo’s Instagram account. Messi himself reportedly renounced the risky fun that broke Manuel Neuer’s right lower leg about a month ago.

Messi’s side, the star-studded and well-heeled Paris St. Germain, were able to survive the first round of the French Cup without the idea generator in midfield. Against the underclass US Pays de Cassel, they scored an easy 7-0 win in which Kylian Mbappé (24) scored five goals.

PSG are expecting a much tougher nut in just under two weeks (February 14), which will also require Messi’s services again. Then it’s the round of 16 first leg in the Champions League against the reigning German champions, FC Bayern Munich.
